Grace is a lifelike humanoid robot designed to bring warmth and care to the frontlines of healthcare. Developed by Awakening Health — a joint venture between Hanson Robotics and Singularity Studio — Grace was created in response to the global demand for compassionate, contactless care that surged during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dressed in a nurse's uniform, Grace is built to assist healthcare professionals in senior-care and clinical settings. Using onboard sensors and a thermal camera in her chest, she can take temperature and pulse readings and flag results outside safe ranges, while her AI brain supports social engagement, basic health assessment, and companionship for isolated patients. She speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, and is designed with a familiar, human-like presence intended to build trust and put patients at ease.
